Boston Globe cartoonist Ward Sutton, now known to the cycling community as “that guy who did the Freewheelin cartoon,” returned to the Denver Art Museum bikesharing station to check out another bike.
As most newspaper cartoonists from Boston, Sutton spent nearly 30 minutes taking photos with fans, autographing copies of his cartoon, and enduring the heartfelt swoon only volunteers can offer a graphic journalist.
“Oh, yes, it’s like this everyday,” said Sutton, with a wink, when I asked him how he felt about all the attention.
