According to Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport, Lance Armstrong is definitely riding in the 2009 Giro d’ Italia, professional road cycling’s second most revered race. This will be Lance’s first appearance at The Giro.
Considering Lance’s current issues with injuries and the distinct possibility that he will be banned from the Tour de France this year, it’s no surprise that he’s confirmed his intent to ride in Giro.
For fans worldwide, it may be their last chance to see Lance race again. Let’s all hope the AFLD makes their final decision before May 9, so Lance will know if he should make an attempt for the maglia rosa.
