A quick confession: I think mountain bike trials are dumb. All that hopping around and never going anywhere makes no sense to me. And yes, I’m probably a little jealous of their skills, but it’s still not my thing, for sure.
So why am I sharing this video? Well, because all my fellow bike bloggers are doing it and I’m as guilty of trend-following as the next guy.
And because this is the first trials video clip that’s impressed me since my thrilled tweenager eyes watched Hans “No Way” Rey stick his front wheel in the President’s face back in 1990.
Inspired Bicycles team rider Danny MacAskill (is that seriously his real name? Mack-a-Skill? Outstanding…) does a 180 back flip off of a tree. I’ll just leave it at that. For your viewing pleasure:
