Confirming the conspiratory ramblings of BikeSnobNYC, bicycles are emerging in the fashion world as this season’s new black. To support this theory, Bike Denver is hosting a runway show for cyclists and their bikes on May 2 during Denver’s first annual Green Festival. Based on information you submit on their website, Bike Denver will create a runway script that describes you, your bike and where you ride.
While Bike Denver claims they’re looking for a “wide diversity of two-wheeled transportation options,” I don’t think they’ll let me on runway wearing a homemade fleece cycling cap with flaps, walking alongside my 15 year old possibly stolen Marin Eldridge Grade, but free admission to The World’s Largest Environmental Expo sounds right up my alley. I mean catwalk. Obviously I need to work on my supermodel talk as much as my walk.
