2nd Annual Wordcount Blogathon

blog-post-it

More than thirty bloggers have banded together, making a pact in blood. I mean blog. I mean, well, I don’t know what I mean, but it’s exactly like NaNoWriMo, only it’s blogging instead of novel-writing, and it’s in May instead of November, and no one’s going to neglect their epileptic dog during a seizure to make the 50,000 word count, because there isn’t a word limit. Or is there? I’m still clueless.

For my part, I’ve agreed (in blog, not blood, as I said before) to post every day in May, subscribe to the blogs of my fellow blogathon participants, read those blogs, and mention them in my own blog. It’s like a big RSS orgy which is much better than a real one, or at least I’ve been told by those who’ve participated in both.

This is the brain-child (or perhaps love-child) of Michelle Rafter, a fellow freelance writer that I’ve bantered with a bit on Twitter. Another one of my tweeps, BikeLady Jackie Dishner, mentioned this in her blog and when there’s a techno-dweeby bandwagon rolling by I can’t help but grab my trusty sousaphone and jump on it.

Here are the currently participating blogs:
