she did a great job describing the features of the tag reader and showing how easy it is to use

I really loved Sarah’s review. It’s so true, that I would rather see my kids playing with the LeapFrog Reading System, instead of mindlessly playing video games. Thanks so much for offering this wonderful prize!

Margaret: My pleasure! Be sure to enter on the other blogs to increase your odds of winning—we’re a bunch of generous parents and want these LeapFrogs to hop into a good home!

Here comes a Canadian looking to convince you of opening it up to us!! Here are my reasons why you should let me (the canadian) enter:

    Reason #1 – I can and will beg! :)
Reason #2 – Sarah who organized the giveaway greatness allows canadians to enter.
    Reason #3 – Canadians are people too…
Reason #4 – I will write a poem about you
Reason #5 – Did I mention I will beg? Please .. Please.. Please.. (on my knees here!)

I visited Sarah’s blog and left a comment on her review of the tag system (still be awaiting moderation by blog owner.. but its there).

I am lovin’ this product. If I don’t win, I will try to splurge on it for my 4 year old. Thanks so much for the opportunity.

  11. Carol

I liked her review because she said we can get it in PINK (for our little girl) and the Tag has over 30 books you can pick from. She made it sound appealing as a Christmas gift, and I agree…..you can continue to buy books for it.

I would love to have one of these for my four year old, just starting preschool. She wanted me to teach her how to read one night. “No mama, ALL the words”. YIKES!

    1. Ron S. Doyle

Kelley: Oh boy, what fun! My two year old turns back the pages when I give the “edited for speedy bedtime ritual” version of her favorite books—I’m in big trouble when she starts recognizing words. Good luck!

I really liked the review and especially the part about how there are character voices. It sure makes it a lot more interesting! I have always been a big fan of LeapFrog toys!!

We love reading to our daughter and have been reading to her since she was less than a year old (she is now six). She loves to be read to and she likes reading when someone is watching over her shoulders but she does not like independent reading. It would be great to have the LeapFrog reader to help her gain a love for independent reading. I can envision her getting stuck on some words and using the pen to help her get through the tough parts. While I would still love to continue read to her, I hope this can also inspire to read on her own.

I also have boy/girl twins who are just shy of two, I would love to try to use this system with them too and hopefully create a foundation for a love of reading.

    Ron’s Poem

Ron is great, Ron is good,
Ron lets Canadians enter as Ron should
Ron is strong, Ron likes to mingle
Rons a good looking catch and I hope he is single
Ron is my idol, a writer in print
I wish I could be like him just for a stint
Ron knows spanish and sign language (his bio I just read)
Has a beautiful wife and daughters so my dreams of dating him are dead.
In my fantasies he lives but don’t worry I’m no stalker
Just a little contest crazy and a whole lot of talker
My wish is that Ron finds this poem complimentary
Worthy (I hope) of a big bonus entry :)
Rons life is quite interesting – a beautiful ballad
I hope he lets this canadian’s meager poem stay up on Blog Salad

*** note to all readers… Clearly I have no poetry running through my veins and am a poor writer to say the least … This poem was intended to make you laugh…if it didn’t do that feel free to boo me out loud at your computer if you must but please don’t hurl rotten tomatoes at me when I pass you in the street … let it be known that I have nothing against tomatoes but much prefer you throw wads of cash at me instead. :)

My thanks to Sarah for organizing this Tag Reader “blog fest”. It is so important for our beginning readers to feel successful and they can’t help but feel successful with this system. I would love to win one for my grandson who is just beginning to read.
