Have you played with downloading the images from Picassa? I just found the original large format images for my blogger blog are already in a Picassa album. Looks useful but I don’t know anything about it.

I found this plugin really useful! I’ve recently migrated a blog from Blogger to WordPress. I’ve been doing it manually post by post, but I knew there had to be an easier way!

    Thank you!

We have been using WordPress’ “import” tool to import all posts and comments from Blogger over to a new WordPress blog. It seems to import only one post, and yes, the images do not display, but the code for them does. We will try the above, but presently, are stumped at the first step: namely, importing posts and comments! Is using the “import” in tools the best way to do what we are trying to do? Thanks!

    We finally got it!

Ended up “exporting” the posts, comments, images from blogger, then converted to WordPress wxr format using an online tool we stumbled onto – then – in wordpress, imported that wxr file and voila — everything was up there in the new wordpress blog, fully intact, images, links, comments and all.

    Hi,
Thanks for the information on this plugin! This is helpful. However, I just tried this with a blog I recently imported from Blogger to WordPress, and now the images are broken. Not sure if I need to do something after the scan? Or should it just update?
    Thanks!

    Hi,

I have imported my blogger and followed your steps & installed remote cache images but when I press the “scan” button, nothing happens…what am I missing?

    Hello,

Tried this plugin, after the images are imported to the Media Library inside of WordPress and I can ‘see’ them on the backend, but when I visit the site and hover over the image it still shows the blogspot url as where the image is ‘coming from’?

I am doing a Blogger >> WordPress migration and the photos are giving me fits.

Thanks for posting about this plug-in. I was going through and manually moving pictures from blogspot, to my computer, and back to word press. After one post I thought there had to be a better way! I’m so glad I googled and found your site.

It only took ten minutes to move everything over. This saved me about two hours of work! 🙂

Thanks for the instructions. I’m helping a client move from Blogger to WordPress. I used http://blogger2wordpress.appspot.com/ to convert her Blogger export to a WXR file to import into WordPress. When I noticed the images didn’t import, I googled and found your post.

The Cache Images plugin worked great except for some images that had special characters. The Media Library now has some images with % (percent signs) in their filenames, and the images appear as white boxes. I guess the client will need to manually import those.

Cool! Many thanks! Agree that WordPress has always been miles ahead than Blogger. I followed this video guide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Elf02SGc02E and managed to convert to WordPress without a programmer. Hopefully, it will help you.

Just found this post as a fellow blogger trying to move my images from Blogger over to WordPress! I noticed you said many high resolution pictures will not transfer over with the cache tool you mentioned. I used this and I am having that problem (even though it says it has detected 109 images). Have you found a solution to this issue yet?
